Travel the Retro Future

If you've been in New Haven for more than a sec or two, you realize that there are three main ways to get around: wheelers, skimmers, and floaters. Now you get a chance to check out some examples of what those might look like via the incredibly talented design and illustration of the artist known as 600v.

To view examples of each type of vehicle, simply click the pic. Enjoy, and please respect the artist. Don't hesitate to drop by his page and check out more of his outstanding work.

Wheelers: Feel the Road

Wheelers are fusion-powered road vehicles similar to ours but without all the pollution. Powered by fusion units called Tesla cells, they are the cheapest form of transportation to own. The body style in New Haven is definitely retro, a throwback to the roadsters of the 30s and 40s

Skimmers: Hover Around

Skimmers are hovercraft vehicles guided with precision by transit control computers. More expensive than wheelers, but a lot of mugs consider the extra cost worth it. No need to worry about potholes or busted roads when you're driving one of these babies. Simply punch in your destination, then lean back and enjoy the smooth sensation of gliding on air.

Floaters: Rise Above It All

Floaters are flying vehicles that soar through guided airlanes in sky traffic above New Haven. A sure status symbol, as only the wealthy can afford to fly the friendly skies.

Zeppelins: Public Transportation

Folks who don't own a ride have no problem getting around New Haven. Zeppelins, or airbuses, have regular routes throughout the city. Stations can be found atop numerous buildings and landmarks. Just be careful when getting on and off. Airbus stations are notorious for muggings.
